On the next-to-the-last day in Connecticut, we made time to visit the Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) house in Hartford. What a magnificent place! And to think in the 1920’s that they considered it to be an architectural nightmare and darn near demolished it. The tour was fascinating and a feast for the eyes. Had photography been allowed inside the house, I would have likely filled my memory card.

If you ever are in the neighborhood, make sure to stop by and take it all in; it’s worth every penny.
