It’s a new year and so naturally it’s time for something vintage. I collect local history objects from where I grew up–one of my vices… I recently purchased a “Quaker Girl Color Book” published in 1935 by the Armstrong Cork Products Company of Lancaster, PA. I bought it because it was promotional material from a company¬†(long gone now) where I grew up.

I thought the images were worth posting if vintage is your “thing.” On the left side of each page in the book are images for children to color but on the right are images of some of the company’s products. These look so much like something I would have found in my grandparents’ homes, it’s astonishing. There’s something comforting about them. Can’t really explain it…
